Paired with a VeriFone transaction system, the compact PRINTER 220 gives you efficient operations and effective throughput at 1.7 lines per second, producing crisp two- and three-part receipts. The roll printer provides a convenient paper audit trail to speed end-of-day balancing. It also creates a permanent record of the day’s transactions, which can help to reduce chargebacks.
CONSERVES PAPER AND RIBBONS
Cost-conscious in every regard, the PRINTER 220 can reduce expenditures for printer paper and ribbons. It can generate as many as 20 percent more receipts per roll than competing printers. And its integrated paper path smoothes paper feeds, reducing the opportunity for annoying jams. The printer features a drop-in ribbon cartridge that makes ribbon changes a snap. Its single-color, high-quality ribbon lasts two to three times longer than standard dual-color ribbons. And the PRINTER 220 can underline credits, voids and other text for easy identification. You also have the option of eliminating ribbon costs altogether by operating the PRINTER 220 in the impact mode with specially treated paper.
COMPATIBLE WITH PRINTER 250 APPLICATIONS
Equipment compatibility is important in
creating a complete transaction solution. With the PRINTER 220, you are assured
of a trouble-free interface between the printer and the VeriFone terminal. And,
you can use the PRINTER 220 with applications intended for VeriFone’s PRINTER
250— without modifying the software. So, you can migrate your smaller
retailers to a complete Transaction Automation system, without the expense and
aggravation of rewriting and recertifying your existing applications. You won’t
need to retrain your help desk staff, either. PRINTER 220 operations are based
on the performance-proven PRINTER 250 with only minimal changes. So there’s no
need for special training or new support procedures.
The PRINTER 220 and PRINTER 250 have other things in common as well. Both
printers have the same compact design and small footprint. The printers use
identical cables and power supplies, which simplifies management of product
inventory in a multi-printer environment. And both use the same paper type and
size. This latter feature facilitates stocking and reordering VeriFone supplies
for all your printers. By combining your orders for PRINTER 220 and PRINTER 250
paper rolls, you could qualify for volume discounts, further lowering your
